Melodie is a subscription music licensing platform, founded by a family of composers, musicians, and sound designers.
Melodie is an independent online production music library. They non-exclusively license professional music tracks primarily to television, advertising, and other media companies. Their purpose is to connect and inspire Melodie artists, content creators, and employees - growing a benevolent, diverse, and sustainable business.

Technology is vital to any online business, but particularly those working with a massive database of large digital files. Speed and UX were crucial in this project. We needed to build an intuitive music search engine, one that made the process of finding the right track easy and effortless. We started with an existing Ruby on Rails codebase to make several alterations, add new features, and completely re-design the look and feel of the site.
Convenient and functional user interface with the use of React technology.
Advanced tagging system and music search logic with a built-in player of uploaded songs.
Reimplemented and refactored the existing features to make them work with the new database structure.
Integration with Amazon S3.
